As women, it is so common to think that avoiding sugar and/or carbs is key to losing weight. We decide that certain groups of foods are forbidden – that we cannot let them into our lives because if we do, we’ll gain 10 pounds overnight. 

But my friends, this is not true. Villainizing entire groups of food like this can actually be dangerous to your physical and mental health. Women’s bodies have different needs than men’s bodies, and our needs also vary from woman to woman, day to day, season to season. Sometimes your needs might include sugar or carbs, and that’s okay!
